Have Fun with Self-Awareness- Enneagram Personalities in Black Culture

Dayo Ajanaku is an enneagram 1 and a lifelong student focused on bringing joy and justice to the world. She offers basic enneagram education through black culture and black images via her Instagram. The Black Enneagram combines her love of the enneagram, black culture, entertainment and Christianity with the purpose of increasing self awareness, growth and relational health specifically in the black community. She regularly engages issues of faith, justice, self-awareness, love and unapologetic joy. The Black Enneagram is a safe haven for all people, regardless of racial identity, who want to grow in the kind of godly self love that overflows into love for all.

In this conversation, Dayo shares her heart in bringing culture and education to the enneagram space, and how she uses her platform to do that.  First and foremost, everyone is made in the image of God, so using the enneagram as a tool in different cultures with representation is so needed.  Dayo takes the time to also introduce a fun aspect of the enneagram by typing black characters with each enneagram type.  And finally, she shows us how when we see ourselves represented (even when it is in something fun like TV characters!), we can use that as a tool to seek growth.

What Office Humor can Teach us about Leadership and the Enneagram

Keanu is a speaker and entrepreneur who specializes in scaling businesses and teams through building people and systems, in that order. His methods revolve around the belief that when you accelerate relationships you accelerate results. He does this by combining the Enneagram with his own professional experience. Keanu has a background in corrections, law-enforcement, military, ministry, and financial services and brings that experience to those he works with to build their team, their business, and ultimately their legacy. Keanu is a first generation follower of Christ and first generation business owner. His “WHY” is to break chains of spiritual and financial poverty in his family and seeks to do the same for others as they establish their legacies through their business.

In this video, Keanu shares how he personally has experienced growth and freedom with the help of the Enneagram.  We also have something extra special in this conversation.  We'll use clips from The Office to illustrate the humor and extremes of the Enneagram.  Keanu compares different characters to each Enneagram type.  Using this fun method of looking at the Enneagram, Keanu discusses the strengths and weaknesses of each type and what we can learn from them in our reality.

Should I Be An Enneagram Coach?!

I am married to life-long, best friend, Kari and we have three daughters: Lucy Blue, Susanna Jane, and Georgie Love. I am the Director of Coaching at Your Enneagram Coach, working with our amazing team to encourage, equip and support our coaches toward building a thriving coaching business that increases their reach and impact for the gospel. I have served in pastoral ministry for 20 years—teaching, counseling and providing leadership to the shepherding and spiritual formation ministries of the church.

My passion as a coach is to provide a safe place for people. I love working with individuals, couples, pastors and organizational leaders, using the tool of the Enneagram to help them get beneath the surface—to embrace their emotional reality and experience the love of Christ in the places in their story and soul that remain untouched and unaffected by the truth and power of the gospel. My prayer for my clients is that through the coaching process their inner being would be strengthened to know the love of God in a way that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 2:14-19). I want my clients to experience the transformation and freedom that come from knowing who they are and Whose they are as God’s dearly beloved children.

I have a passion for leader health. I want to see pastors and leaders play the long game and function as anti-bodies who bring life and vitality to the relational systems and organizations they lead. I want to help pastors and organizational leaders see that the most important gift they can give to their teams is their own transformed presence. I want to cultivate healthy leaders who build healthy teams and healthy organizations.

I earned a Masters of Divinity from Midwestern Theological Seminary (Kansas City, MO) and have completed training in the Soul Care Institute through Crosspoint and have also completed Crosspoint’s Enneagram training to become a Licensed Enneagram Instructor. I have also completed Your Enneagram Coach’s training to become a Certified Enneagram Coach.

In this fun conversation, we talk about what it looks like to be an Enneagram Coach and the amazing opportunities it gives you.  Adam shares what it looks like to become certified and coach specifically with the goal of allowing the coaching to be shaped in the framework of the Gospel. Coaching is definitely not limited to any particular type, so Adam walks us through why each type would make a great coach and how they can have fun doing it!

Humor and the Enneagram

Known as one of today's most gifted communicators, Michael Jr brings laughter and encouragement to audiences all over the world. Using comedy and dynamic storytelling he inspires audiences to discover and activate their purpose. This unique skill set has landed him on stages like The Tonight Show on NBC, TEDx talks and Jimmy Kimmel Live. His mission to make laughter commonplace in uncommon places means that he also seeks opportunities to share his gift with those in homeless shelters and prisons. You can find him in Sony Pictures' feature film War Room, as well as starring roles in Selfie Dad, Laughing on Purpose, and More Than Funny.

In this video, Michael Jr., an Enneagram 1, and special guest Mike Goodwin, and Enneagram 8, discuss how their Enneagram types show up in their careers as comedians and keynote speakers.  As a special treat for this fun day, we see two clips from comedy shows that they have done!
