How to Use the Enneagram to Help You Lead Others

In this session, Ashton dives into the topic of leadership. It is a common misconception that some Enneagram types are leaders and others are not. However, each type has strengths and capabilities that, when utilized properly can set them up to be strong and powerful leaders. Ashton walks us through what leadership looks like for each Enneagram type.

She is the owner and founder of the Instagram page, @theblackenneagram, where she offers basic Enneagram education through black culture and black images. Building Tailor Made Teams

Former corrections officer, police officer, soldier, financial advisor, and pastor, Keanu Trujillo finally found his calling as an entrepreneur building people, teams, and businesses. He is a certified Enneagram Coach and certified Expert Ownership coach who uses his experience and qualifications to help business owners and leaders get to the next level with their teams without firing everyone and starting over or closing their business.

In this session, Keanu shares about what it looks like to build a business and team using the power of the Enneagram. When you first begin to build a team, you will first want to look at the leader's strengths, weaknesses, goals, and patterns. Next, you will want to take a broader look and consider industry, location, goals, and team size. In this discussion, Keanu walks us through what exactly it looks like to evaluate yourself, your needs, and your business as a whole in order to build a team that best suits you.

Intersectionality and the Enneagram: the impact of collective cultural values and radicalized experiences

Sandra Maria Van Opstal is a second-generation Latina pastor, activist, author, and a powerful leading voice on the intersection of faith and justice. She is executive director of Chasing Justice, a BIPOC-led movement that mobilizes the next generation of Christians to live justly. Sandra’s distinctiveness comes from working in both local and global contexts as a practitioner and academic, which has solidified her calling to disrupt oppressive systems within the church and center marginalized voices. She served as executive pastor at Grace and Peace Church on Chicago’s west side and as an activist in her community. She holds a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is currently pursuing doctoral work in Urban Leadership and Transformation. Sandra is the author of The Next Worship, Forty Days on Being An Eight as well as contributor to the New York Times bestselling book A Rhythm of Prayer.

In this session, we learn about how as we are on our journey with the Enneagram, it is vital to take into consideration the many factors that intersect with our Enneagram that make up, influence, and direct who we are. Some of those intersections are our gender, race, socioeconomic location, cultural background, heritage, and so much more. When we acknowledge these, we are acknowledging the impact that the intersections have on our journey with the Enneagram and ourselves as leaders. Ultimately, this is a journey of self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-regulation.
