Welcome to Day 5!
I can hardly believe we are on the final day of the 2022 Wholehearted Enneagram Summit. Thank you so much for joining me this year, and I pray that the sessions bless you as you seek to find balance in your daily relationships, spiritual life, and career with the Enneagram. Today, we will dive into how to use the Enneagram to to lead those around you. Let's get started!
Self-Leadership with the Enneagram
Adam is married to his life-long, best friend, Kari and they have three daughters: Lucy Blue, Susanna Jane, and Georgie Love. He currently serves as the Director of Coaching at Your Enneagram Coach, where he gets to support and equip Enneagram Coaches around the world. He is also a coach himself, working mostly with pastors and leaders. And he has been a pastor for over 20 years. As an Enneagram 6, his passion is to provide a safe place for others to tell their story and discover their beloved self in Christ.
In this discussion, Adam unpacks the topic of self-leadership, which he defines as Spirit-lead self control. This is a beautiful depiction of something that is both from God and our responsibility. As an example of self-leadership, Adam takes us through some verses Psalm 131 to see how David exemplifies self-leadership in his own life. Finally, Adam walks through a tool called the A.W.A.R.E. Exercise and how it relates to self-leadership.

Using the 9 Acknowledgment Languages™ in Leadership
Jen P Higgins MS MC CPPC - Best-selling author, Business Strategist, Leadership Coach, Certified Enneagram Expert and Educator. Jen started her "Personality" career at a federal corporate university where she and a team of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists developed a proprietary personality assessment for Cultural Health. She quit to start her own private coaching business helping working moms find balance in their lives. The struggle of raising and homeschooling her neurodivergent boys gave her a greater insight on the individuality of people outside of an "autism" or "adhd" label. This fueled her passion to help others tap into what's really core to who you are and build your business from the "within-side out" instead of letting labels define who you are. Everybody's Different and that Difference is your gift to the world.
In this conversation, Jen unpacks what it looks like for every person to be a leader, and in that role, it is up to us to develop the skill. As a leader, you must be able to be observant, empathetic, and adaptable. Jen gives us an overview of the 9 Acknowledgment Languages™ that each type has, and how it relates to our internal processes and external responses. The ultimate purpose of the Enneagram is to better understand and develop ourselves so that we can develop community, and we can do so as the leaders we are.

Evan is the founder of EnneagramGift.com - a site dedicated to helping people learn how to use the Enneagram to connect with others and reach their potential. He is a Type 5 and began working with the Enneagram in 2018. His insights have been featured in Truity.com, Catalystleaders.com, and Churchleader.com. As a passionate writer and coach he helps helps frustrated ministry leaders courageously take action to live a life of meaning.
In this conversation, Evan discusses the important topic of trust. Trust opens the door to vulnerability, relationships, sharing, and everything that we need in order to lead. Communication, competency, character must be in place in order to maintain trust in every relationship. When there is an issue or breakdown in a relationship or team, the issue is with one of those three things. When there is a high level of trust, our leadership, relationships, and capabilities are accelerated. Finally, Evan ties the Enneagram triads and how they relate to trust.
