Welcome to Day 3!
I can't believe we are already half way through the summit! Thank you so much for being with me today. We are going to dive into the topic of parenthood with our five incredible speakers. I am praying that the Lord uses these sessions to minister to your hearts and give you freedom in your parenting, your grief, and in the fun that comes as a mom.
Using the Enneagram with Your Kids
Sarah Waxman is a middle school teacher turned coach, author, and speaker. She is on a mission to change the trajectory for our youth one adult at a time. As a certified Enneagram coach, Sarah collaborates with parents and teachers and educates them on how to use the Enneagram with their children and students in order to build stronger relationships and create a lasting impact. Sarah lives in North Carolina with her husband and children. You can follow her on Instagram and TikTok @sarahwaxmanofficial.
In this session, Sarah shares how we as adults and parents mature and become healthier, our children will reap the rewards and benefits of that growth as well. As we learn about our own Enneagram types and implement the knowledge that we gain, that is a gift that we are providing for our children. Each Enneagram type has a goal that they are working towards, and Sarah walks us through how that may appear in the lives of our children. The Enneagram gives us such a clearer understanding of our children and how we can best engage and love them the way their hearts long to hear.

Elisabeth Bennett (4w5 so/sp) first discovered the Enneagram in the summer of 2017 and immediately realized how life-changing this tool could be. Elisabeth started her own Enneagram Instagram account (@Enneagram.Life), which has grown to more than 73,000 followers. Since becoming a certified Enneagram coach, Elisabeth has conducted more than one hundred one-on-one coaching sessions, focused on helping her clients find their type and apply the Enneagram to their lives for personal and spiritual growth. She lives in the beautiful PNW with her husband and two children.
In today's live session, Elisabeth walks us through how much our parents' Enneagram types may have impacted us. Just as our parents' types have shaded who we are, we are also helping shape our children. As parents, we often name what we recognize, and what we recognize are things we also see in ourselves. With things that we don't understand, those things generally are not recognized or named. Elisabeth shares some experiences that all nine types may have as it relates to how our parents' Enneagram types may influence our own.

Clarity is so important to Judith and it’s a gift that the Enneagram brings and she loves that! As a Christian, she believes for this clarity to lead to long-term transformation we need to look to Christ and incorporate Spiritual Practices into our daily rhythms. In 2020 she became a certified Enneagram coach and use the wisdom of the Enneagram, the truth of the Gospel and coaching strategies to help persons step into the freedom and purpose they desire.
In today's session, Judith shares her heart behind how to start healing after God says no. Particularly with circumstances that we hold close to our hearts, like infertility, sickness, and death, when the Lord's answer is no, that may cause us to put up a barrier between ourselves and God. Judith discusses how we can work through our grief and taking down the barriers that we put up for our safety so that we can have hope and encouragement in the Lord. We can find intimacy and depth in our relationship with the Lord when we allow ourselves to walk into the sorrows and grief that we are feeling and bring our authentic selves and emotions to Him.

Lindsey is a wife and mother of two girls living in Louisville, Kentucky. She was introduced to the Enneagram about ten years ago but it wasn't until she and her family moved back to the States after serving as missionaries in France that she really began to deep dive into it. She was amazed at how the Enneagram helped me broaden her thinking and easily find compassion and space for people who are different from her... and even for herself. After studying under Crosspoint Ministries and Suzanne Stabile, she began to teach small groups of moms, educators and church groups. In 2021 the opportunity to work for Love Thy Neighborhood arose and soon after she took the job, she was able to step in as Co Host for their podcast, The Enneacast, where they explore faith and the Enneagram. She now leads workshops on the Enneagram for students, non profits, churches and businesses and it is her dream job! She is still learning and growing as a person and as an Enneagram teacher and she love growing alongside others on the same journey.
In today's session, Lindsey will be diving into the topic of Mommy Wars and how our identity plays a part in this. Shame, guilt, and fear also play major parts in our parenting, and Lindsey walks us through how understanding the Enneagram and triads allow us to bring our emotions to light and gives us an understanding of why we do what we do. Plus we will give you some tips on how you can approach parenting in a healthy way for each Enneagram type.
